Vice President at Christie's Auction House. Capera Ryan is a Vice President and the Head of Christie's for the Dallas/Fort Worth area. While at Vanderbilt University, she spent three years as the Head of the Vanderbilt Sarratt Art Gallery. She graduated with degrees in Art History and Organizational Development. Prior to joining Christie's in 2002, Ms. Ryan worked as a Specialist in the Jewelry Department of Sotheby's, New York. With family ties to both Dallas and Forth Worth, Capera is an active member of the community and the liaison between local clients and Christie's worldwide. She is on the Board of the Dallas Center for Contemporary Art and the Co-Chair for the Steering Committee for the Dallas Museum of Art where she holds a board seat. She recently Chaired the Affair of the Art Ball for the DMA and curated the art for the Art Ball. She sits on the board of the Van Zandt Cottage Foundation in Fort Worth. She is an active member of Daughters of the American Revolution. She is the Chair for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas Junior Group of Friends of Nutrition. She sits on the Dallas Performing Arts President's Advisory Council She is actively involved with Cattle Barons Ball where she recently Co-Chaired the Live Auction and Spring Luncheon. She recently chaired the Salvation Army Luncheon Silent Auction. She hosted a luncheon honoring Prince Edward and the Duke of Edinburgh Award. She, also, is on the Board of Dallas Historical Society, where she and her mother co-chaired a record breaking year for the Awards of Excellence in Community Service Luncheon. She is an active member of the Junior League of Dallas and the Junior Garden Club of Dallas. |
