Tricia Bridges - President and CEO, The Chiapas Project
Three decades ago, Tricia Medrano Bridges began a career in nonprofit organizations in Dallas. She moved to New Orleans to direct activities for a national nonprofit in Louisiana and Mississippi. In 1991, she returned to Dallas, later working with the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas where she served as Vice President for Development. Subsequently, she served as Advancement Director for the University of Dallas before joining the Chiapas Project in 2005.

Ms. Bridges is the President & CEO of The Chiapas Project, a Metroplex organization that was inspired by Dr. Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Foundation. The group funds microfinance loans in Mexico, Haiti, Dominican Republic and Bolivia.

The Mexico Institute - Founder director - Non-profit organization dedicated to advance the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the rich, diverse Mexican culture through education and the arts. The Institute has, for the past 20 years, presented hundreds of artistic and cultural events, educational programs and activities.

SERVING ON THE FOLLOWING ORGANIZATIONS:

Cultural Patrimony of Humanity (UNESCO) –Advisory Board Member - Cultural preservation of the City of Guanajuato, Mexico (my place of birth).

USA Film Festival - Advisory Board Member -Organization dedicated to the encouragement and recognition of excellence in the film and video arts.

Sammons Center for the Arts - Founding Member and Advisor -Chairperson of

TheSammons Jazz series since 1991. The Turtle Creek old pump house station, which for the past 20 years serves as a facility to provide office space to aspiring artists, to hold rehearsals, workshops and conferences in pursuit of their craft.

The Chiapas Project – Advisor for Latin America - The Dallas Chapter of the Grameen Foundation, dedicated to help women in the state of Chiapas, in southern Mexico through micro-loans to create their own businesses and break the cycle of poverty. This organization is growing to other Latin American Countries including Haiti, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Bolivia and Paraguay.

The Dallas Summit – Member - Women leaders working to create a whole, just and abundant community.
